Why did you make the capsules black?
What you see when you look at Complement Plus™ capsules is the natural color of the AlmegaPL® algal oil we use. Rather than being a processed, refined oil, AlmegaPL® naturally contains other beneficial compounds including carotenoids, omega-7, and chlorophyll — which gives it a dark green color that appear nearly black in the capsules. We believe in only using necessary ingredients — and artificial colors are not among them!
What are Polar Lipids?
Similarly to krill oil (but vegan), the omega-3 in AlmegaPL® is bound with polar-lipids (phospholipids and glycolipids) — providing the health benefits of EPA with enhanced absorption. Dietary polar lipid carriers are known to promote the efficient transport of omega-3 fatty acids through the body and subsequent integration into the cell membranes. Is Complement Plus™ suitable for children?
